Woven paintings

In traditional painting, the artist paints on a canvas medium which is stretched on a stretcher frame - the canvas, often being solely a medium, completely disappears in the process of over-painting. My intention was to rather focus on the textile medium itself through spray-painting the warp threads and hand-weaving the canvas.

The paintings were shown in the solo exhibition "Vom Rot geworfene Schatten sind Blau", 28.10.-24.11.22 in Klub der Künste Off space, Deichtorhallen Hamburg.
