Inspired by the idea of a greenhouse, both in its title and conception, the group exhibition Beet focused on the bed as both a physical and metaphorical space. The exhibition space, characterized by a huge window front that flooded it with natural light, offered an open, bright atmosphere but limited wall space.
Given these spatial conditions, a radical concept was adopted where all artworks were placed close to the ground. This arrangement created a collective installation in the center of the room, offering visitors new perspectives on the artists works and encouraging an intense engagement with the space. Each artwork unfolded its own potential, harmoniously integrating into the light-filled environment.
The artists explored natural and artificial art forms through various media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and sound. The diversity allowed for a comprehensive exploration of organic and artificial materials and themes. The bed structure, suggested by pedestals, soil, and wild plants, functioned as a boundary between culture and vegetation.
